I found after I received this item that the pouches are not very usable due to the sizes that they are.It is perfect for holding fish as long as you don't need to carry much fishing gear as well (which I do cause I am great at getting my line caught on things). Unfortunately I was disappointed and only use this one as a backup. I do like the color!

This is great for those cooler days and choppy waters. It seals well around the kayak, keeps me very dry, and is easy to adjust.Don't cinch it down too tight before climbing in the boat or you'll find after half an hour or so it gets quite uncomfortable!

Rod Holder Review

Rod Holder

These things fit in oar locks and have a tiny mounting bracket. The bracket will go on my powerboat, I'll use the rodholder in the oarlock of my Livingston, so I'll use this inexpensive item on both boats.Folds flat to fit in my tackle box.

I don't know if it would handle anything too large, but as my title says, simple, cheap and slick.

Rollerblade Astro 50 Inline Skates Review

Rollerblade Astro 50 Inline Skates

*** 2 month update:One Star, now.Frame rivets are showing significant fatigue.I know I skate hard, but I expect better. What good are they, if the frames are loose or unstable? ***

In my opinion, this is one of the best skates for the price, but it's still got some drawbacks.

Pros:Comfortable with less solid plastic, 82A wheels are harder than most that come with skates, aluminum frames.

Cons:Sticks can get stuck in the metal crossbar on the frame.Brake support is hard to remove, and those dipwads at Rollerblade don't include an extra axle.Only come with 80mm wheels.(compatable with 84mm wheels)

Advice:The insert that comes with the skate is junk.(Aren't they all.)Put in a good, solid flat insert. This will also keep the inner boot from slipping out of the frame.(Inner boots are removeable for faster drying.)

Rollerblade Men's Fusion X5 Urban Skate Review

Rollerblade Men's Fusion X5 Urban Skate
Average Reviews:

I just ordered 2 pairs of these skates, as I wasn't sure what size I would need. I am returning BOTH of them however because of 1 huge problem with them, that isn't clearly documented anywhere.

If you are looking into these skates, you are most likely interested in them for the same reason that I was. The Fusion X5 skates are said to come with a 243mm frame, with a max wheel size of 80mm. The shorter frame is one of the defining characteristics that sets these skates apart from most fitness/recreational skates, as it allows for faster turns, and makes these skates a decent choice for freestyle and slalom skating.

The problem with this is that the skate does NOT come with a 243mm frame, as they should. The frame on this skate is a 273mm frame, which should be on the Fusion X7's.. not the X5's.

The frame that you actually get on these skates will take up to 90mm wheels, which is great if that's what you want, but is a problem if you are like me, and wanted these skates specifically for the shorter frame.

The boot, and skate, do feel very solid.. to the point that they are fairly difficult to get on and off. They are very well made, and very nice looking. I'm sure this would a great skate, if the frame size isn't an issue for you, so I am still giving it 4 stars.

I did want to post a warning about this however, as it is not mentioned anywhere in the description, or in the other reviews.

Matlock is definetly the best midium flex boots on the market!
I tried lots of different snowboard boots but normally each of them had something wrong, not with the Vans Matlock.
The best part of this pair boots is the upper cuff power strap, so right now I can adjust tension of whole boot; it's just super!

Rollerblade Spiritblade III Inline Skates Review

Rollerblade Spiritblade III Inline Skates

These skates didn't quite last two days.I purchased the size 13 skates, because normally I wear a size 14 shoe and when I tried the 13's on (the largest size most inline skate companies seem to produce) they seemed to fit nicely. And the first time I took the skates out for a trial run, they seemed to be great!I was very happy to have found these skates.

Unfortunately, the second time I took them out for a skate on the local bike path (the same route I skated the first day), I noticed that the right skate suddenly felt loose, and that I had no right-ankle support. After stopping and inspecting the skate, I found that the top buckle-in support strap wouldn't stay closed, making that skate much too loose for wear. It's hard to describe here, but the mechanism that's supposed to hold that strap tight rests on an unbelievably tiny hook, fastened in by a correspondingly unbelievably tiny piece of plastic. This mechanism had apparently broken or failed in the course of 48 hours of use.I've since returned the skates, my search for quality inline skates in my size continues, and I strongly recommend against this particular model.
