(More customer reviews)We've been using this basketball hoop with our inground pool for a couple of months.We have it in the part of our pool that is approximately 4.5 feet deep.This makes it about an 8.5' foot rim when standing in the pool.

The one negative thing I have to say about the system is, if you're using it with an inground pool or with an above ground pool on a deck, there is little to no room for adjusting the basket up.You can move the backboard below the bracket and adjust the backboard down for growing kids.

For those who have above ground pools, there is an extra pole that comes with the system that allows you to set the system on the ground outside an above ground pool and then you have fully adjustable heights.

Anyway, back to our setup... I have a 17-year old son who weighs 210 lbs.He and has buddies (of similar size) all play basketball and they love this system!!!I can't get them out of the pool!Dunks, 3-pointers, goal-tending, this bball set can take it all.The backboard is big enough and the rim is sturdy and true.

If you're want to play "real" basketball in your pool, this system will definitely meet your needs!!!

(More customer reviews)Overall, the set is pretty good. The poles are very lightweight (aluminum) and easy to adjust with three different heights. Also, it is very easy to set-up and the tension rings work well. The ground stakes are also heavy duty and hold the guy lines very well. My only complaint with the system is the net design. One of the bottom loops (the net has 4 loops on each side) broke the first time I set up the system and I had to sew it back together. Also, this type of net does not allow for a really tight net for good "play out of the net" although it's not bad. I am planning to buy a better net but the rest of the system is pretty high quality. And for the price, less than 130 dollars, you won't find another set that has these very nice lightweight aluminum poles and the easy set-up so I have to recommend it but you probably will want a better net even for recreational play. Since I bought this the price has dropped even lower so I would definitely recommend at the current price.

(More customer reviews)Park and sun make so many models. I vasilated between buying a cheaper set or spending the xtra bucks on the better grade, higher priced model. I'm sure glad I went with the Spectrum 2000. It arrived in good shape and very quickly (4days). I was not given a choice on what color.I was concerned because I read another person got an orange one. To my suprise I got a blue and thats the color I wanted. The poles were thicker and telescopic to three hights, the othes didn't offer this feature. The pins were 10 in. most others were 8 inches. This made a difference in staking out the poles in soft soil. It went up in a very short time. Very easy to take down and put up. The carry bag is convient to transport to my son's home as well as the beach. I an quite pleased and feel I got more than I even ecpected.

The net itself on the system I received was defective.This is very rare for this company, and even more rare was the service I received when I called their toll free number: immediate satisfaction.They didn't even ask that I bother to send back the defective net, just take a digital photo and send it over the internet.Oh yea, they sent the net before I even got around to sending them the e-mail!This meant that my high school girls team could use it at the time I had planned.This service is greatly appreciated by our team, and I'm a customer for life.

This system has been updated since the days I played competitive outdoor ball, and the new tightening handles on the guylines are entirely effective, no-slip, very easy to use and strong.What more could one ask for?

Overall, if you're a serious outdoor player, you could not go wrong with this system.There are other systems that put up a great net, but none that are this easy to set up.Thomas Barefoot
