Ive owned or used several brands /pairs of inline skates over the years. It had been about 3-4 years since I was on skates when I decided to take an afternoon out with friends to skate a local bike/walk/skate path. I wore these K2 Moto84's which were borrowed from a friend. I've always liked the K2 softboots as they are breathable and comfortable and these were no exception. The trip was about 6+ miles and my feet never felt uncomfortable. The skates are surprisingly lightweight, probably due to the softboot and lightwieght aluminum frame. Wheels and bearings were very smooth and quiet. Not the fastest ride Ive ever had, but very very good for sure. The boot is extremely comfortable and the speed lacing system is just awesome. No more tying laces, or re-tying when they inevitably come undone. This makes for very quick times when putting on and taking off your skates. Overall, this is a terrific skate and I'd certainly recommend it.

One thing to note...
The fit of this skate is a "true fit", which means you should order the same size as your sneaker. If you use Rollerblade brand (or Roller Derby), you should know that K2 runs slightly slimmer in the foot than RB and RD. Those brands have a slightly wider foot fitment.

Enjoy !

I've been skating for 20 years or so, and I have to say: these are a really good pair of skates for commuting, amature speed skating, and general recreational skating.

For commuting, they're surprisingly fast to get into and out of.There is a velcro strap, a quick plastic ratcheting buckle, and fast-pull laces. The fast pull laces are great: they run into a little ratchet, so to tighten the laces you just pull up on them.To loosen again, press the button on the ratchet. The boots also have large hand loops for the back and tongue of the boot, making it really easy to just grab and shove your feet in.For lazy people like me, fast in / out like this is nice, especially when going off to stores / houses / etc.

The wheels have a nice soft durometer, and the 90mm-ness helps.Skating over brick sidewalks is a lot more comfortable on these than my last pair. The 90mm wheels seem to add a little to speed, but not tremendously.Mostly I notice how the larger wheels seem to grip a bit better before slipping, and the skate's overall lighter weight.Do note that if it is wet out, for some reason water seems to slip in through the heel. Why just the heel, I don't know.

For my particular foot, these skates just *feel* right.I'm not a woman, but the ankle cut on these is a lot more comfortable than the ankle cut on their mens, or the Rollerblade equivalent. It does seem to be a bit narrower than many, so those with wide feet might want to try on a mens or another brand.Of course, trying on different brands / sizes before you order is always a good idea, since for skating the feel is the most important thing.

This may be obvious, but extreme trick skaters might want to look elsewhere.Sure they can jump / ramp / etc.But the bottom wheel frame is a light plastic, and was clearly never intended to take a grind plate. Also note that colors might vary from the photo. The skate that I was shipped was a really stylish white, grey, and black.I'm happy with the difference, but realize that there may be a difference.

Overall, I love these skates.I never thought I would skate a K2, but I'm really happy with the fit and structure of these. They've made my morning commute a more fun and comfortable, and have me thinking of long-distance tour skating. And for the price, these are a great deal.

I purchased these skates at the age of 54 to learn to roller blade. I used to ice skate at an average level and ski at an advanced level several years ago. Although they were not reccomended for beginner skaters I was up and going in about 15 minutes doing the bare basics. Very happy to purchase protective wear tho, already saved myself a wrist and an elbow injury.
That said these skates are great, fit perfectly, (size 10 was size 10) no excess movement in the frame, built quite well compared to others I looked at. Interestingly enough, they were actually better than the smaller wheeled skates reccomended for beginners with better bearings, frames and boots as well as better pricing than the lesser quality ones. I went blading over relatively coarse concrete and they rolled well and yet gripped the pavement well. I was pleasantly amazed. The only issue was they came in white with blue trim instead of the picture shown which was gray and red. I just got a helmet to match the protective wear non gloss black and they are just fine, I could care less about the color. I would reccomend these to beginning skaters who are slightly heavy and have skated or skied before. Very sturdy yet comfortable and light on the feet. Get protective wear tho esp wrist pads. I wish I would have tried this years ago. These beat the four wheel ones I learned to skate on back in the skating rink days when it was two + two rather than 4 in-line.

I got those roller blades because my old once finally broke I normally wear size 11.5 and ordered those at size 12 and they where perfect. They are the best pair of skates I have ever owned. They are very fast and feel strong. The price on Amazon is amazing just make sure you order ½ size bigger then your shoes size and you are good to go. I did about 12 miles on them yesterday and there was no problem what so ever with the skates and oh yeah I'm 240 lbs because I weight lift and the skates had no problem holding me.

So glad that I found these skates on sale when they were because I love them! & I would never pay over $100 for skates even if they are top quality. I believe these would get a lot more sales if they were cheaper because I was about to buy a second pair until I got an email saying the price went up. But I do appreciate the fact that they support the breast cancer foundation and it makes me feel better that part of my purchase goes to them as a donation! K2 blades are my favorite now :)

K2's Stability cuff. It's also outfitted with a stability cuff, composite frame and 80mm wheels with ABEC-5 bearings.
Stability Cuff
The Stability cuff offers fitness skaters confidence and control. The anatomical design is contoured to match your ankle profile for better balance and support.

About K2
In February of 1961 the first pair of fiberglass skis was produced by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner in their Vashon Island, Washington shop. The Kirschners, avid skiers, built fiberglass animal cages for medical use and were convinced that their process could build a ski that was lighter, stronger, and more lively than the wood and metal skis of the day. They really just wanted to build some cool skis for themselves and their friends. And the rest, as they say, is history. Much has changed since those early days on sleepy Vashon Island, but one thing has not: K2 is still a bunch of adrenaline junkies who just want to make some cool stuff for themselves and their friends.
Today, K2 Inc. is a premier, branded consumer products company with a portfolio of leading brands including Shakespeare and Stearns for marine and outdoor products, Rawlings and Worth for team sports, K2 and Brass Eagle for action sports, and Marmot and Ex Officio for apparel and footwear. K2's diverse products includes fishing, watersports activities, baseball, softball, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and inline skating.

I was a little concerned about buying these, especially since they don't have many reviews yet, but when they went on sale for $99 - the same price as the regular Rollerblade Spark skates that I was considering - I immediately bought them. I'm a beginner, and was having problems even standing up in my borrowed Ultra Wheels skates. These fit me perfectly, were true to size, and are very stable and comfortable...no more wobbling. The wheels are definitely fast me, even on carpet, but I'll just change them for slightly smaller ones. Update once I improve :)

This might be my 5th pair of K2 skates in some 15 - 18 years. This is my 1st time on 90mm wheels. Very fast and not too difficult to get used to the extra height increase. In the begining and once when I couldn't find any lace up K2's I tried some other brands. Both times ended up with broken skates and returning to K2. I appreciate the extra durability. I do have a narrow foot for a guy and have bought womens shates a couple times. I skate year round. Good Stuff thanks guys!

I haven't skated in 20 years & now I have a 6 year old that wants to go skating every week, so I bought myself these skates. I researched several sites before deciding on these. Many reviews I read warned that this skate runs large. They do run long, but they are narrow.I normally wear a 7.5 Medium shoe.I ordered a 7 skate. The length was perfect, but the width was a tighter fit than I was expecting. The best part was the added padding in the sole, the ankle area and the tongue.I've had foot surgery in the past that has left both my feet very senstive. The first time I skated with my new skates I had no problems with my feet, other than the normal stiffness of a well made leather skate. The wheels look white in the picture, but they are more of a yellowish color. They still look nice & the wheels/bearings are great, much better than what you will find on cheaper skates or even at the roller rink. The wheels came tight, but once your comfortable skating again, just loosen the wheels for faster motion. The tool is included with the skates.

These skates could have been great, they would have been exactly what I had been searching for in a skate for sometime. The boot in these skates were much smaller then they should have been. I would have loved to kept them, however ordering another size was not an option, since they only had size 11.Therefore, I recommend if you order them and you were a size 10 the 11's should fit you well. Don't order your exact size, they will be too small.

This item was amazing. it was ready to use right out of the box. the size of the rollerblades is basicly the same size as your shoes. they fit snuggly on your feet and you can rollerblade for up to an hour without getting sore or tired. i use these every night, one down side of this package are the wheels. i believe that they are abit too soft so i recommend getting better ones. the brace for the shoes are great but they look like they might break if you put too much stress on them... but over all this was amazing. i love it

First pair of skates purchased after 15 years and they are pretty comfortable.Skated for 2 hours and no foot pain!I wanted a faster skate but decide to get these b/c the boot was comfortable -I could always change the bearings later on.why 4 stars?the foot bed is thin and offers very little arch support, I will most likely change them.& the brake offers no stopping support.I'm a pretty good skater and tried to skate home from the park in these and the brake just wouldn't slow me down enough to not go crashing into parked cars.Maybe I don't know how to use the brake, I still miss the old school roller skate rubber stop. However these skates are pretty fast and are comfortable.I would recommend them to anyone looking for new inline skates.
p.s. I bought mine at a brick and mortar store and paid 30$ more than listed on amazon. There was no customer service and limited selection.
