(More customer reviews)Some middle-priced ping-pong tables come with really cheap nets.A net from DHS is a great solution to take your table almost to tournament level. This net is extremely well made - heavy duty clamps and posts, wide base to help keep the table halves even, and beautiful looking net.The net is drawn tight by a string across the top and two cleverly designed clips at the base of each post.Height is easily adjusted by knobs at the bottom of the posts - net height gauge included.I give the net 5 stars for quality but 4 stars overall because the instructions are sketchy and don't show how to properly attach the the tightening string to the posts.There are a surprising number of parts to this for something as simple as a TT net.I had to locate other pictures of this set on the internet to figure it all out.Each post has a cap with a slot across it like the head of a screw.Those slots must be aligned along the same line as the net, the string run through the slot and down the back of the post to where the clips fasten to the brackets.

It's the least expensive fully adjustable set I found, and I'm satisfied with it.The net tension chains are easy to set up and use.My only objection is the tendency of the post height adjusters to relax after aggressive play, so check the net height often.

Worth the money.Don't kill your table with the cheap post and net.

(More customer reviews)This is a very good, inexpensive net that works well. Be aware that the net overhangs the table, and the brackets connect to the table several inches inside the end of the net. That means that the length of the net does not tell you how far apart the brackets connect to the table. Subtract several inches from the length of the net to get the length of how far apart the brackets connect to the table. If you have an older massive table, like I do, you may have to cut a notch in the table to get the brackets to connect. It was worth the small hassle for the price of this net. For most folks, this net is proabably a perfect size. There is also a string that you tighten to add tension to the top of the net.

(More customer reviews)While the net itself seems like a good cloth-like quality, looks great, and at first glance the net posts seem strong and durable, I would not recommend this Net Set for serious competitive play.

The groove where the net string sits, to allow you to adjust net tension is far too shallow to provide a solid place for the string to sit.This would result in the net string frequently slipping out of the groove, thus ruining your net tension.Not to mention, I was not satisfied with the quality of some of the other components of the set.

Overall, for recreational play at home, this net set is not all that bad for the price.Considering a really good set can set you back anywhere from $80-$150. That said, after a little digging I was able to find a much higher quality product at a cheaper price than this one from another online table tennis retailer.

(More customer reviews)The clamping mechanism works well & doesn't ruin the table or loosen over time. The net is very nice, and can be easily tightened. It also doesn't come too loose over time. The plastic is hard, and I get no feeling that it will snap anytime soon. For the price range, I doubt you'd find a better net.

(More customer reviews)This is a great net.Sturdy, and the draw string within the white part of the top of the net makes it very taught.No easy overs with this net.Either clear the net, or be REJECTED!!!

They could spend a few pennies and include directions however.the black plastic attached to the string goes down the back of the blue post, and is locked in place.Took a bit of time to realize it.

That is the only reason they are getting 4 stars instead of 5.

(More customer reviews)This is easily the best net I've ever used. Perfect for situations where your table must be folded and moved to a new location each time you play. That's our setup where I play. Previous nets we've used lasted about a year before the posts would break. The clamp mechanism here hugs the table tightly with a strong spring, so tension of the net is never a problem. I don't understand the user who posted problems with net tensioning. It's totally simple. A steel rod goes inside the looped ends of the net, and then slides down the post into place. So, clamp on the posts, insert the rods into the end loops of the net, slide the ends into the hollow posts, then adjust fine tuning of the net tension with the top string extending from the ends of the net, and attaching to little notches in the post base. Presto. Easy, and works great every time. This post/net setup may well outlast the table, since there are no stress points at all! I'm buying another for my local clubhouse...
