(More customer reviews)We bought this product under the assumption that it was nicer than some of the others and the one we have.It is not!!It is a very cheap net and the poles came broken and one of the raquets is freying and it has never been used.The seller is very hard to get a hold of and will only return with a re-stocking fee!!Very poor company in my opinon.Not worth it!!

Impact LED Illuminated Badminton Set Review

(More customer reviews)I wasn't expecting a super-high quality badminton set to have LED lights in it, but this one is a joke.

Construction is way more difficult than it should be, partly because the bolts that come with the set aren't the right length--all four are too long--and partly because the directions are written poorly and placed on the page in a bizarre layout.All I can say is that I am leaving the top pole segments attached to the net permanently so I don't ever have to go through that experience again.Unfortunately, no bag or case is provided, so I will have to lug around an awkward jumble of stuff if I ever want to travel with this thing, which I do.

The birdies came pre-smushed.

The light in one of the racquets didn't work, but fortunately the one line in the instructions that was helpful advised that re-seating the batteries (required:mini screwdriver, not provided) might work, and it did.

Note that the net requires 3 AA batteries, which isn't mentioned in the description here.

On the plus side, the LED lights do look pretty darn cool when they work.We haven't played with the set yet (or put up the net, which no doubt will provide more "entertainment" given the poor quality of the materials and thoughtless design) so we don't know whether the birdies will keep working during play--according to reviews on Target's site, the birdies' lights tend to go off after a few whacks. Guess I'd better keep that mini screwdriver handy to re-seat the batteries, always a fun thing to do in the midst of a badminton match.

VIPER LIFETIME WARRANTY Portable Badminton System Review

(More customer reviews)Bought this new system and received it yesterday. It is packaged real nice, but very confusing with their instructions on setup. Looked at the set of instructions and there are things people should know before ordering.

When I ordered, I asked specifically if it is hard to setup and they only show an instructional setup video for their Volleyball system. They assured me that it is almost exactly the same and if I needed help, I can just phone them.

This is easy to setup, if and only if you have all the components. I found out I was missing a clamp for the first pole and it took the guy forever to figure out what I was asking him to explain.

Besides missing that clamp, there were a couple other things that are on their website and the list of materials they ask you to checklist off. There are no pads to go on the poles. They also do not give you the pole guide, so you drive it in at the right angle. These only come with the Volleyball system.

This is why they only get 4 out of 5 stars. Other than those annoying things, it is really easy to figure out. You can be left wondering how the bungee cords are used as well, but I only cared about keeping the net tight and it is amazing to see it setup without guy wires all around it.No tripping hazards what-so-ever.

Baden Champions Series Volleyball / Badminton Set Review

(More customer reviews)This is a sturdy product. The net is considerably wide (over 30 ft.) so be prepared for that. I left mine out in the weather (big mistake). It started to rust inside the poles. The ropes are plastic based and difficult to adjust the tension with the tensioner provided. The stakes are also plastic and have bowed in the ground due to the 2 weeks of tension when I left it set up in the backyard. I'm not sure I can use them effectively again. I did not use this kit much yet, but the rackets seem sturdy enough. The height of the net can be adjusted easily enough. You just slide it up and down on the poles. The poles are really tall.

Make sure that you need a dual product (volleyball and badminton). I could have done just fine with the badminton alone. Perhaps then my net would not have been so long and the poles not so tall. This dual set really takes up a lot of space.

(More customer reviews)I specifically looked for a net that had poles. This is one of the few that had pictures of net and poles. There was no disclaimer stating that poles were not included. For $45 I expected poles. But guess what - no poles! Not too big of a deal but I probably would have bought a cheaper net if I knew poles did not come included with this net. Net looks durable - very heavy for badmitton. Closer to a volleyball net.

Yonex Badminton Club Net Review

(More customer reviews)nets are well made with good header band and cords however they are made of rather stiff material. I was expecting a softer 'string'. This material is difficult to unfold and then re-fold neatly and takes up much more space than other yonex nets we have which fit neatly into small spaces. For instance I could not carry these in a badminton bag.

This portable set is terrific: it sets up fast, easily, with excellent net tension. Just devote a little attention to properly extending and clicking the side tabs on the lower support bar first time out, because you likely will be so eager to play when you see the set that you won't notice this very slight detail in assembly. I recommend this product to anyone. Sorry I took so long to discover it but everyone is having a ball playing now in my long driveway.
