(More customer reviews)I ordered this cargo net in preparation for a move from Texas to Northern Virginia.I ordered it three weeks out to allow plenty of shipping time.Unfortunately, what I did not plan for was the item being "out of stock".It was in stock when I ordered it and I even received a shipping notification.Unfortunately, the item was never received by the shipper and I was not notified of a stock problem until after I had phoned the vendor three times.Finally, on the third call I was told the item was out of stock and to not expect the item anytime soon.I requested and recieved a refund.The one star rating is for the vendor and not the product since I never did receive the cargo net.

Lund 607003 Telescoping Cargo Bar With Net Review

(More customer reviews)Lund products are usually very nice and good accessories for trucks.I ordered this one for my husband as a Christmas present for use in a 2004 Full Size Dodge Pickup with a regular box.

When the bar was extended to the right length for the width of our pickup it was flimsy and not very strong. The net was not meant to be utilized with the bar extended this far and was too tight to be used to hold anything.

The chrome finish is very nice but hard to grab and hold onto to turn and adjust to remove or place in the box. Somehow I had the vision that there was a lever to release the tension but it was a push in the little buttons and turn type.

This bar might work good in a SUV rear cargo compartment - like a Durango or Trail Blazer

Highland 95015 Black Truck Tailgate Net Review

(More customer reviews)The 'description' I read before ordering this product indicated no screws or fasteners needed for installation, which turned out to be true.But, I
ordered it imagining it must somehow install using my truck's tailgate latch points on the truck bed.I was a little disappointed when the cargo net arrived to discover I was required to drill four small holes in the bed to allow for the net support rods to be installed.Four little plastic inserts are provided, which are then plugged into the holes where the support rod ends fit. You will need some silicone (not included) to seal these inserts in place.

It's no big deal, though, as the installation is otherwise easy and I am overall satisfied with this product.It's pretty good quality for as inexpensive as it is.If you don't like the white TURBO NET logo lettering it is easy to paint over with flat black plastic model spray paint, which is what I did.Big improvement!

Be forwarned this cargo net is primarily just for appearance. It wouldn't retain anything in the bed which weighed very much. I did take a large load of empty 1 gallon plastic milk containers to a recycling center and the net worked quite well keeping all those containers secure and in place.

(More customer reviews)We had to drill a hole on each side of the pickup tailgate area to make the Turbo-Net work which my husband wasn't too comfortable with but he did it and we used the Turbo-Net for the first time a couple weeks ago.We have a fifth wheel and it worked out beautifully.We don't just throw things in the pickup bed but usually have them in containers or boxes of some sort and that worked well also.It looks nice and does the job at a lot less cost than a typical metal tail gate.

How can man alone have fashioned such a fantastic thing as this, surely somewhere along it's slow trail to birth it was kissed by the Gods.My thoughts were racing - "no more escaped groceries, no more rolling bottles across the cavernous reaches of the luggage compartment of my car, no more thump as my snow scrapper hits my beautiful plastic interiors".I made my plans.A quick trip to purchase four shiny black carabiners and I could let her have her head and take her for a trail run.20 minutes later I nervously fixed my black beauty into place.Carefully I place my emergency pack and snow scrapper under her, feeling the might of her rubbery grip as I did so.I closed the tailgate.Starting the engine I gave up a little prayer to the Gods of luggage stowage.I pulled gingerly away before throwing the car into a series of sharp turns and every severe stops!Not one clang, not one bang, not one thud of scrapper against car was heard or felt.The joy, the exaltation, the heart thumping excitment of it all.

Well we have been together for a while now and "Ol' Blackie", as I have christened her, has never let me down.Sure we have had a couple of close things with rampant soup cans rolling perilously close to escaping and a number of odd shaped purchases threatening to burst through Ol Backies loving embrace, but none have suceeded in their struggles for freedom so far and I know as long as I treat her right Ol Blackie will never let me down.Well off to work out now and guess who will make sure my gym shoes aren't rolling around the back of the car - you got it!"Ol' Blackie I got a job for you!"

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these last week for carrying things on the back of my bike (I have a carrier mounted over the rear wheel).As one of the other reviewers noted, the four hooks aren't permanently attached to the bungee, there's just a smaller hook where the cord holds it.That might be a good thing, if it gives you more flexibility in moving the hooks.But in my case, as I was riding, I heard a "boing" sound and one of the hooks went flying off somewhere.So I returned the cargo net to the store.If the hooks were permanently attached instead, I'd say this was a great product.

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these, one for each of our Honda Elements.In the back cargo area of the Element, we have a hook on each side to attach the net to, so we didn't have to use the adhesive tabs or drill holes or anything like that.My husband and I both LOVE these nets, I can't believe how long we went with groceries sliding around every time we stopped, accelerated, or turned a corner.I hated searching under the back seat just in case a can or package of cheese had managed to hide itself on the drive home, but no more!!The net solves that problem.The 3 pockets are nice, to keep groceries separated, or if you only buy one bag of groceries, it won't move around inside the net.

(More customer reviews)This product is a net made out of 1/4" bungee cord, with four hooks.The hooks are rubber coated, so they don't scratch, and they have flared tip covers so they won't snag fabrics.

The whole assembly weighs just under 4 ounces, and it collapses to about the size of a medium size vitamin bottle, so it's easy to carry everywhere in a backpack without taking up too much room.

This net is absolutely ideal for carrying groceries using your mountain bike rack.After trying it with a grocery sack that was half full and seeing that it holds the sack absolutely rock steady, I was ready to put it to the ultimate test.I used it to return from the grocery store about 2 miles away carrying one large doubled (one inside the other) paper grocery sack that was filled right to the top with very heavy items.It held 3 half gallons of milk, two 4 lb steak packages, and two large frozen vegetable packages - 25 lbs worth of food.I put the grocery bag on the mountain rack that is mounted above the rear tire.The net went over it easily without crushing anything, but held it securely upright over every bump.The groceries never budged.After using it for a year, however, sometimes, a grocery bag will tip.The net will hold it in place, so nothing will fall out, but be prepared to stop and remount the thing.It seems to happen about one out of twenty uses.

Should you get this or panniers?With this, everything sits in the center of the bike, perfectly balanced, and it doesn't interfere with pedaling like panniers sometimes do.And face it, the price is right - it's a real bargain, even with the shipping charges, and I received it in 3 days from Bike World USA.Coupled with a large backpack that I use to hold another grocery bag worth of lighter items, I've stopped using my car for grocery shopping in the city of San Francisco.

However, if I think about it in advance, I tend to use panniers over this net.I don't have the one in twenty tipping problems with panniers and they are a bit easier and faster to get on and off.The benefit to this cargo net is twofold, however: it's a low price starting point to seeing if you want to start shopping with your bike.But more importantly, you can keep it handy in the back of your backpack all the time.With panniers, you have to plan ahead and carry them around.It has saved my behind on more than one occasion, either because I was out without panniers, I ran out of room in the panniers, or I just needed to take a jacket off and strap it to the bike.So even if you end up using panniers like I did, this won't be a wasted purchase.I still use my cargo net all the time.I carry it with me everywhere and if I lost it, I'd buy another one.

I have a utility trailer and this net is perfect for loads that are difficult to tie in place with twine or straps. I sometimes carry a dozen trash cans to the dumpster and without the net, I sometimes lose can lids and garbage on the way. This is my third large net in 4 years and it is the heaviest. If there is a problem or flaw it would be with the hook design. This is a nightmare to unhook all the hooks from the net itself and spread out over the load. So from past experience with different nets, I had hooks welded to my trailer every 1.5 feet around it. I just remover all the plastic hooks, spread like a blanket on the trailer and start hooking. Much easier.
